Micro 335 or 355

Post by Trentco1 »

Question for the guys and gals that have a micro 335 or 355
If you had The chance to upgrade or downgrade your micro
would you and why?
As I have the chance to upgrade my micro 315 with a new rail.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I have the 335 and have shot and handled all three. I have what I would buy again since now they have three when i bought mine it was the only Micro.
I think the extra 20 fps.....real world against my gen 1 is unknown as i havent seen speeds posted of the 355.. .. is moot vs the extra cockin effort.
Im sure Jeff will chime in he went from a 335 to 355 and 315. I bet he likes shooting his 315 more.

There's no doubt about it.
I love my 315 Its easy to cock and fun to shot.
but I feel I'm missing out on some speed. Also will be trying to nock off a deer this season with it I want that 400gr plus arrow! As it is my arrow weight is 370gr and I'm getting 315fps

Deer hunting 52 years at it but not with crossbow fred bear recurve ..Out to 35 yards your 315 micro is fine on Buck ...I have the 335 micro both are fine ..BUT if you are type that has shoot Buck at 40/50 yards MAYBE the 335/355 would be slight better on drop of arrow is all..

I noticed that my 335 hitting target over 35 yards just does not have snap of arrow hitting like it does under 35 and I put mental view that is going to be my MAX on getting Buck but I am different type of hunter ,OLD SCHOOL thinking..

I was able to play with a Micro 355 yesterday at EastHill. The cocking effort on it is easily compatible to a 380, but over before you know it.
I'm sold on the 355

Yup!
that's all got to do with limb deflection, I have the micro 315 and was getting 327fps with a 355gr arrow and tip. Before my limb delaminated
Hope that will be changing soon tho()

I would make the up-grade from a 315 to a 335 Micro, but having a Matrix 355 and 380 which both have a lower draw weight and as good or better performance than the Micro 355.... I would not up-grade to one.

Great?

Out of the 4 main micro models ( gen1 335, gen 2 335, 315 and 355). My pick would be the gen 1 335.

It's the middle of the road bow that is fairly easy to cock and is shooting almost as fast as the micro 355. You can't go wrong with any of them and they will all get the job done..

However I still tend to reach for the 315 for extended fun shooting sessions... :)=

With your 36 strand string on my 2 micro 335 gen 1 real nice set up.I am excited to see if I am lucky to try it on Buck this year..Its very hard here now in pa to get Buck do to hunting pressure and lack of deer ...But you have to enjoy woods and excalibur crossbow is close to way I hunted with recurve it looks like bow that has me excited to go after ole mossy horns..

I may get GO PRO camera second hand on e bay and would be neat to have video for all us too see from 18 ft up with excalibur hunting the Buck here in pa wilds of pa.....
