Harvested a nice doe Monday/ Micro 335

Post by tremps01 »

Last 2 week was Moose crossbow hunting opening in Quebec.
Had a big femele 30 yards! Grrrrrr.....Well she just got a very lucky break. Only allowed buck this years.
3 weeks ago I got a call from Gaston(drstirrup). He said to me. Do you want to harvest a doe on my land? Oh yes. Gaston had bait 4 different places for me to be able to hunt with different wind dirrection, each site has tree stand. When he does something every little detail is significant. He knows a lot about deer hunting . He conducted many research with hisTeckels that blood track wounded big game. This time of the year he is very very busy with his business and he found time to organise that for me, he came with me as a guide no licence for him.
Wind south-east, 2 hours later I harvested that nice doe.
We saw 3 of them. Thank you very much Gaston . I really enjoyed that moment.

Paul, look at the next pic. I took that one at the butcher shop this morning, you can see the black knive handle, the blade's knife is in the hole entry of the primary FMJ arrow with boltcutter broadhead. After the shoot. the doe stay on the ground still alive, just able to move front legs, so I need to shoot an other arrow to make the doe do not suffer needlessly.
