Need a couple new Excals, anything to stay away from?
Hey fellas, I'm not new here or to crossbows...but I started a different account.Coukdnt get my old user name-password thing to work out.
Anyways,I don't have time to read and search through forum,so figured I would pick your brains. Are there any Excals right now that maybe I should avoid? I know they have vest warranty ect,but I'm meaning say are there issues with limbs on the 355 micro? Or 400 bulldog, are triggers issues on bulldog. ..hopefully you follow me. I'm considering getting a 310 micro and decking it out for my dad. Also kinda intrigued of the Bulldog 400 for myself. Note, I already have a couple micro 335 loaded up,haven't shot them enough to have an issue ect. Both have preformed well. But I'm looking to add a couple more excals to my arsenal. It's kinda of a tradition going to deer camp with a new toy (I know these aren't toys)
Thank you

What are you concerned about?
Look, Excalibur stands behind every crossbow they sell and every crossbow they ever sold! Got an issue with your 20 years old Excal? Did you drop it out of your treestand 16 feet from the ground? Call customer service and explain the issue and within moments your problem will be solved!
With Excalibur you have the most accurate, the most reliable and the longest lasting crossbow on the planet. You'll still be shooting your Excal when you're 96 years old if you wish. Your warranty is still good then too. The warranty is still good if you trade the Excal away too, whether you survive or not! You have the best crossbow on the planet and its backed by a company that does not ever say no.
If you are a competing company you have no future in the crossbow industry.

AJ1, I would get a Matrix 330, or 355, and add the ADF for those forgetful moments, and go hunting!

I believe the lifetime warranty thing will certainly be based on the direction of the Excalibur brand and who happens to own it in the future.
With that out of the way. I don not think one excal is consistently more reliable than the next, so get what you like...
Good luck!

Good suggestion...I actually had both of them last season and setup as you suggested. Maybe I'll get a 330 Matrix again,it was a nice setup but can't keep em all.xcaliber wrote:AJ1, I would get a Matrix 330, or 355, and add the ADF for those forgetful moments, and go hunting!

As long as it has Excalibur in the name, you've picked a good one.
Personally, I would say go with the Matrix 350LE/355 models. Even with a tweaked back from last weekend I can pull the rope and get that string to click in. Can barely bend enough to put on socks and tie my shoes, but I can ready the Matrix!
The Micro series looks good too, I'd consider a 335 (well, I did and passed on a fully loaded used one for under $600, but spent my funds to get a Sapphire for my kids to use). I've got a 5' 21yo that can't get the Matrix ready, she is too short.
