New limb set question

Post by hunt2sleep »

Today I got my new limbs for my 380 back from Mr. Miller after one of them developed a splinter on opening day. As you can see in the pic, there is a gap underneath the bracket beside the main limb bolt. There was no gap under the bracket before. The rubber pad is in place between the bracket and limb where it should be but isn't being held against the limb. This is on both limbs. There also appear to be spacers that the bracket bolts are threaded through which also weren't there before. I can't imagine this is right. Was the wrong hardware installed? Do I need to screw the bolts in farther? Remove the spacers? Any help is appreciated.

You have the new upgraded hardware and the gap now seen is normal. This characteristic has been noted here several times recently.

Shoot away. My Micro is the same and they are a huge improvement over the old fasteners...

The new riser designs, and modifications, along with this modified bracket system, and the new "In House" limbs are three of the fixes they have come up with to further enhance the Excalibur reliability factor. :D
