Hi everyone,
A few days ago I got it into my head to build a Flemish twist string for my M330. I've been making my own endless loop strings for the last two years, but this was my first Flemish. After a dry run with some kite string, I made one out of 30 strands of black Brownell D-75; and after futzing with it a bit, I think I have a passable string. The question is, how deep do you all bury the tails? I twisted about 4" tails into the body of the string. Is that enough to keep the whole thing from flying asunder? I want to try it out, but I'm a little nervous. Thoughts? Wisdom? Contemptuous rants?
Also, how many strands would you recommend for a Micro 335?
