Polishing triggers

Post by Ragumup »

This new suppressor appears to have a trigger claw ber which is damaging the string serving I'm not wanting to start sending bits back to Canada but also don't want to start buying tools and stuff to do it my self .... any easy way of doing it ? Fine sand paper? Does the trigger claw have to come out ? Just looking for an easy fix :D tried to up load a couple of pictures but says they are to big from my phone

No, it doesn't have to come off.
Here is a link to important stuff on the site Boo has which explains how to sand the claw ;)

Go slow and do not use a power tool like a dremel. I've seen a couple of trigger units FUBAR'D when abrasive strips were not used. Patience will get you where you want and power tools will easily get you really sad  After doing a very large number of triggers, I still use abrasive strips.

Boo wouldn't pull his own string ( pun intended), but he is the guru on most of this stuff. As LBJ said he has some info on his website that will help you. Give it a look then pm him a pat on the back. :D

Thanks very much Boo! I just ordered the 3 grades of abrasive strips listed on your website.

Regulardless of polishing dont forgot them micros are just rough on strings with the short limbs a string seems to get half the life of a normal matrix 330. An angel majesty serving helps a lot also.
