Micro 355 vs 380 which has the edge in speed

After watch a couple of vids on YouTube micro 355 is if not faster its equal speed to the matrix 380 so for me no point in having the longer & wider matrix 380 type bow any more ,just wondering if any one else has seen these two vids where he gets 365fps with the 380 and 368fps with micro 355 both with 350 grain arrow...

if you get a fast 355 and a slow 380 it could happen. I would put my money on a 380 being faster in general though.

Agreed! ....and I'd rather be loading the M380 than the micro any day. I was averaging 367-368fps from my M380 with a 387gr arrow.

Matrix 380 is the faster of the 2, its also easter to cock, like 60 lbs + my Custom 360 does 360 fps wid a 400 gr arrow

I have never seen a 380 Matrix shooting that slow in my life! I bet he has a 355. Mine does 360 usin 400gr arrow thru the Chrony, other ppl.'s mileage maybe diff

Not comparing them together doesn't mean much . different arrows , different chroneys . different lighting , It's not apples to apples . Also the guy with the Micro better check his brace height.

I don't think it's a matrix 355 as riser & rail are realtree ,I had a 380 that shot a 350 grain arrow at 360fps Arrows in the vids are diablo & quills but I take your point about other possible differences. Got a suppressor now so need to strip the all the rubber off and cronie it when I get time.

My Matrix 350 LE shoots a 350 grain at 360.

Two different guys with two different set-ups, different distances from chrono, as well as different brace heights. Could also be different strings on them as well. A fast flight on one and a 40 strand custom on another... who knows.
Too many variables involved to think that these videos are even close to accurate. Kinda like farting outside = a little wind and you waste it.
Thats reason enough for me to disregard those videos.

My M380 run 375 fps. with a 351 gr. arrow and a string F10. With an Excalibur string 380 fps. It's limbs set have more than 3000 shots. I really like to shot my micro 355 but for me my primary Moose bow hunting and reliable is the Matrix 380.
