Re: New string on Micro 335
i have no experience with a micro but the amount of twists depends on your brace height
twist it up higher than your targeted brace height cuz it will stretch some

Re: New string on Micro 335
Is it a factory string or a Flemish twist string?
You need to install it and keep it a little above the normal brace height.
If it is a factory string install it and shoot it... It may seem short but it will stretch as all strings will at first.
You do not want to "Untwist" it.
As the string stretches and settles in just keep an eye on your brace height.
If you have reds installed keep the string about 1/4 inch off the bumpers. If you have Dr Stirrup bumpers then about 1/16" is good.I keep my cocking rope shortened up and on at all times when not in use to keep the string off the bumpers when it stretches.

The String I got from Danny Miller. When I put it on it's a about 1/4 inch away from my brace height line. I will shoot a few arrows and see what happens. Thanks.

Shoot the heck out of it
If you leave you crossbow sitting for any period of time you should set the rope cocker length so that you need to pull the string back about an inch to hook it on the string, then leave the cocking aid on. That way as the string stretches it won't ruin your rubber bumpers.

Re: New string on Micro 335
we just put new limbs and a new string on my son's 335. what a bugger! the knot on his stringer kept slipping and wouldn't compress the limbs enuff to get the string on. used my stringer and eventually got the limbs compressed. the stringer worked fine on my 335. we did not twist the D. Miller string at first but did after a coupla doz shots. then we adjusted the brace height on my 350le which was easily done. any difference in poi after tightening the string was covered by the wind and shooting freehand. do you guys shooting from a rest notice a difference in poi after adjusting the brace height and do you twist from one end or both? appreciate any info from excal veterans.

Re: New string on Micro 335
You only need to twist from one end.
Any time you adjust your brace height poi will change slightly. I use a sharpie permanent marker and put a small mark on the side of my rail where I like to keep my brace height. I check it often and keep it as close as possible to the mark at all times.

Re: New string on Micro 335
Thanks guys for you comments. Just took a few shots with the new string and I'm good. My brace height is a little over 1-1/2. Will be shooting a few shots each day at different yards.
