Scope mounting coming loose

Post by W.Miguire » Fri Sep 06, 2019 8:22 pm

How many of you had your scope mount come loose and what did you do? Mine did so I countersunk the holes and put in new screws and locktited them in seems to hold good so far. Would like to know how you fixed yours.

I loctite my scope mounts with red nasty loctite right from day one.More than likely they are gonna be on for the life of the crossbow.lf l have a problem with the trigger l will just get a new unit and a new mount.. We have the best crossbow in the world ditch the Woolworths factory rings and get it the quality it deserves. To match.l never have had a mount issue. Or a ring issue
These are weaver med. Tactical. There are many other great rings other than these . About $30 bucks .......worth every penny. Jmo

I never had trouble with the rings coming loose . What I meant was the ADF to the trigger. That's is the mounting that came loose.

I use a "T" handle allen and tighten the fasteners enough that the shaft of the tool twists 90 degrees and hold it for a couple of seconds. I've never had a scope base screw come loose.

Any fastener supply can give you quality hardware. Not big box as a rule.
While you are there, a GOOD set of hex/Allen keys will be wise investment. Consider this tidbit, tool are made to precision... Fasteners are not(painting with a broad brush). Good tools, allow the fastener to do it's job without additional stress
Micro-Hybrid-bulldog "PitBull370"
MOBU Micro BD345 "Greener"
Xtra Micro BD310 "Small-Fry"
Micro Axe MOBU.
