Quiver disassembly?

Post by RobD »

I have two Matrix 380 bow now, and Jelly Belly happened to come with a longer quiver than my Xtra model did. The thing I like is that the longer one on Jelly Belly keeps the bow very stable with the Dr Stirrup stirrup. My Xtra always wants to lean over and take a nap. So I bought a new Excalibur quiver that is is the longer version, but it came with Realwoods Hardwood camo instead of Xtra camo.

So I want to swap the plastic end between the two quivers so I can have the Xtra camo on the longer quiver frame. Anybody know how to safely take that part off? I feel a little play in the plastics, so I don't think it is glued in.

I believe its just a snap fit but maby its got a little glue also. Maby do a tug of war with a friend . I also like the longer old style quivers . I saw one at a bass pro on vacation last year and snatched it up.

It feels like a snap and click kind of fit. I just don't want to pull to hard and bust the latch(es) that hold it together. The broadhead rubber insert seems to be pretty solid in there, maybe it is glued. The quiver arm has wiggle movement which is why I think it is clipped in.

I am thinking either a wedge down the inner side to release a clip, or the broadhead insert has to be somehow removed first.

I just disassembled a broken micro quiver. It is a snap fit. Pull hard straight up and it should pop out. Be careful not to side load when pulling. There is not any glue holding it together. Then the broad head rubber will just fall out.
