Broadhead Annihilator 150 gr XL

Post by williamsalan64 »

Thoughts on the Annihilator 150gr XL broadhead for a
Micro 308? At least I wouldn’t have to have heavier inserts going with a 150 gr vs a 125 gr.
Thanks Alan T

looks like a beast. Remains me of the old snuffer broadhead. You can lay that flat on a honing stone and then a barbers strap and you will shave hairs off your arm with it. Nice.

If your looking to pair a compact a well flying tough machined one piece steel fixed broadhead take a look at the US made and manufactured Tooth of the Arrow that offers a 150 grain in 4 versions, all featuring 4 blades which offer more cutting surface than a 3 blade.

TOTA 150 gr:
1" Solid and Vented
XL 1 3/16" Solid and Vented

Each pack includes at no extra cost is a broadhead wrench so you don't cut your fingers.

And if you want something even bigger, TOTA makes a 175gr. 4-blade.
These heads are pretty tough. It requires a little more finesse to resharpen them.
The short overall length makes them fairly easy in terms of getting them to "fly right".
Tooth of The Arrow makes a sharpener designed for their head.
Lots of folks just use a flat file.

If you want something in the 200gr or bigger range, give VPA a look! They are a 3 blade. And tough!
And you can resharpen them on a flat stone.

These are the only fixed blades I'd recommend. I know there are several others on the market. But they just don't have the track record these two companies do when it comes to big, heavy-muscled game.
I ain't talking Whitetails here, I'm talking Elk and larger!!
