I think I want to look into a red-dot for my .30-06 rifle. I'm near sighted, so it's hard for me too look through peep sights at a deer or target that's 40 to 50 yards away. I can see that distance perfectly fine, but once I look through the peep sight, it's hard to see. So I was thinking a red-dot would give me a better view of the target.
Now, I have no idea which ones are good or not, so does anyone have one that they would suggest? I know nothing about them.

Yes I know that.
I think I'm gonna get one that you can change the dot sizes and types. My shots are rarely over 40 yards anyways so it's not such a big deal.
I was looking at these ones....

Hey Tye, i used a Aimpoint for years on my .308 and my dad used one on his .30-06......they are fast to shoot with, put dot on animal and shoot, you can shoot it with both eyes open, therefore your field of view is wider.
just make sure you put fresh batteries before the season
look at this one....a bit more money, but well worth it
