Bolt size

Okay, here goes. I just hit a metal pipe that holds my target and snapped a lazer gold tip carbon bolt. I have some older arrows so I tried to see if they were the same diameter. The arrow just fits inside of the gold tip bolt. Are they too small? I shoot a Phoenix.

Anything with a 2200 I think. 2213-2219 ish, that's all I know.

Mailman I myself am not sure about this but think 2117 is as small as one would want to shoot. Do think I would forget that and just replace the arrow you got busted.

I guess your right, don't want to screw up the bow. What size are the lazer gold tips? What is the smallest diameter you can use?

Lazer gold tips = 22XX DIA., the smallest arrow in DIA. would be 21XX

Aluminum arrow sizes ar in 64ths of an inch for the outside diameter and indicated by the first two numbers in the desigantion. A 2213, 2215, 2216, or 2219, for example, are all the same (22/64") diameter. 21 or 22 series shafts are best for the Excaliburs. The GoldTips are 22/64" diameter.

Like wabi said. And the second 2 numbers is the wall thickness. So a 2217 and a 2219 are the same diameter with different wall thicknesses.

I found an Easton XX75 bolt today. It was a 2018, looked to be about 17" long, and smaller diameter than the gold tip laser IIs.

Any ideas what it could have been launched out of?
