I use the rope aid on my Exomax, even though I can cock it with relative ease. I don't like operate at anything like full strength, no matter what I'm doing ... it's just to easy to hurt yourself at 40+! :cry:

Besides, the 'Max hurts the grooves of my fingers if I cock it by hand and the hardest part of the draw is right at the very top of the motion where you're weakest and most likely to hurt yourself. The rope aid is a good idea ... easy on the digits and the back.

I squat my draw ... my quadriceps do most of the work.

welcome fred the folks on here are great at helping each other out, and I think we are all continually learning as we go, you'll find a wealth of information on here, and I'll also say that the rope cocker is the way to go. M&M
