:shock: Finally got the challenger slug from the friend who shot the large buck.He hit this buck in the front shoulder ,hit a rib and through the lung ,through the liver and came to rest up along the femur .This deer netted after throwing out the front shoulder still 100 pounds of boned out meat so it was no small deer.

After all this travel hitting bone and such ,here is the unexpanded in pretty good shape slug .

I wouldn't waste the powder. Try some 7/8 oz sluggers in a smoothbore or better yet go to a rifled barrel and shoot winchester platinum tips.

Those Challengers must use a hard lead-alloy. :shock:

Grizz a person I know who use to hunt alot with the shotgun said "they use to mushroom really good" but now he thinks maybe with the cost of lead gone up .Maybe they are adding more alloy`s like tin to lower the cost for them but the trade off is a harder slug .
