The tape is holding, but not as good as I would like it to. It would be nice if the tape would stretch and stay in the the grooves of the rail.

It's also not the same color as the stock, so I will probably end up pulling it off.


The pinkish of the stock doesn't match at all with the tape.

same here.... the only reason I want mine camo'ed is to make it different from every other exocet around here. Plus the plain black rail just looks boring to me at times :D

update....

I got tired of looking at the different colored camo tape so I removed it.

I was also curious about how much weight the silicon in my stock had added and the answer is 4.5 ounces.
I had used the white DAP-ALEX PLUS-Acrylic Latex Caulk Plus Silicone.

For now I'm just using gaffer's tape between the stock and the rail and the home made STS with limbsavers and 2 1/2 inch elbow brackets like Sumner used. It seems to be a really good combination.

those are some good looking bows i have painted the way chris did before it really works good and its cheap
