Weren't nary a hog sighted. They found plenty of turkey sign. I will tell y'all about awshucks Bow shooting prowess! He did fine with the compound shot, but never let him around a recurve as he isn't none to good with them at all. He also took second in the 3-D shoot, the guests just bowed their heads and openly weeped as they were soundly defeated! They are a great folks good company. We had a great time, would have liked them to have stayed fer awhile longer. I really like folks that i can outshoot from Canada. I also received several nice gifts that was a surprise, from Boo. I won't say by how much i barely was able to win the great American 3-D shoot. They made me shoot abit too stay up on the score. I am sure our guests will post on this when they get a chance. Their story maybe abit different than ours. Hey we got the first hit in here so thats life!

Did you got any hogs?
No, I could not book a hunt on the short notice I had time wise. To say I tried would be the understatement of the decade. I did get Tom and Dave out Friday afternoon on public property w/ a very very slight chance of stalk/spot one. Our deer season expired that day, as did hog hunting on public property. In Ar you can hunt them as long as something else is in season w/ whatever weapon is legal for that season. On WMA's you can only use shotgun or rimfires, along w/ any archery tackle for safety reasons. as hard as this may be to believe there are virtually no hog outfitters in Ar, the "Razorback" state! I found one, $750 per day per hunter, bargain of $1300 for two days, lol. Maybe he has "Porky Pig" for a trophy hog, lol.

Around here it seems the farther south you go into Tx the cheaper the hunts are, but you pay more in gas and in some case lodging. The more Northern stuff in Tx and Ok books up faster due to shorter driving times and gas expenses.

I have advertised looking for leases or private property [year round legal] for hogs and have actually gotten phone calls from irrate locals as they want to trap, transport to pens, feed out, sell the hogs as meat butcherers.

This saga is NOT over, trust me, lol. I'll have a place lined up next time.

Dan, I cannot begin to thank you and Mike for your hospitality and most of all your friendship extended in the last few days. Mike and Dan, the very best gift that I received in the last few days were hugs!
Guys, the knife is a custom knife made by Jamie McGowan, yes a one of a kind.
I thought I should include a "typical" score on a target. The hot pink and white is Dan's, the all blaze orange is Mikes, the feathers is Tom's(he used to be an active member on this forum) and the black, green and blue is mine! Hehehehehehehe!
I wish I could post more but I just finished a 24 hours of driving without a rest so there will be more!!!! LOL!
Thanks Dan and Mike. You guys are great friends!

He checked out of his own accord a long time ago. I urged him in a PM to hang in there and keep participating, but he didn't want to. :?

lol, just had to add their trip back home would have been REAL interesting had I served our local delicacy of pinto beans w/ mesquite smoked pork steak pieces and corn bread the night before they left. My 24'x24' garage/shop was our hang out, w/ all the guns and bows being tweaked, fondled, admired, shot, it looked like Custers Last Stand in there, and smelled about the same, lol. How do you guys up north live w/o Rotel diced tomatoes w/ green chiles, Try-Me Tiger sauce and pepper bacon? lol. The bean residue was easier to put up w/ than the ketchup on sunny side up and over easy eggs, lol.
