Geeee, just one thing after another. This is the last one for awhile right....?
Our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
out of commision for a while
You have my sympathy, man. Been there..with the strong side arm.
Docs are like any other occupation: wide range of ability. Pick the best one you can afford. The one that did mine left part of it undone so there is near constant pain. On the bright side, it qualifies for a X bow permit in MN.
Any chance it can be done arthoscopically? Much less invasive. One word of advise: once it's stabilized do take your PT seriously, it may well determine how well your wing comes back.

Greywolf,
Sorry to hear of your luck. It's a tough injury to recover from. I tore mine on my strong side last summer playing ball. For one reason or another (i.e. didn't want to miss hunting season
) I didn't go to a Dr until December. Early on the pain was rough, especially in the morning when everything was stiff. For the most part I had good movement but couldn't throw a napkin.
Since I went months in pain before seeing a Dr I have healed enough that I may get through it with no surgery. I started PT and meds two weeks ago and it has made a world of difference. I've still got a couple months to go but with any luck I will avoid the knife.
As others have said, take the recover seriously and at a slow pace. It will affect the outcome a great deal. If there is a bright side, it may be that you could be recovered in time for next season.
Good luck and best wishes.
