Hmmm not a problem here, we're seeing plenty of deer. I'm not a biologist by any means but I was always that a doe will usually drop 1 or 2 fawns a year, 3 being rare. We have seen 2 different does with 4 spotted fawns on our club and they were no where close to one another. Any thoughts :?

Ironic or what! Yesterday I post a reply about the lack of deer in the Ottawa area and this morning I find what's left of a deer after the coyotes are done with it in my back yard. This concerns me as I live in a rural sub division and no hunting allowed. Was it healthy and taken down? Was it hit by a car and bedded when attacked by the pack? I walked the perimeter where I found the remains and all I found was the stomach contents. They certainly are efficient predators. The hide and leg were found a few meters from the page wire fence across a small ditch. Did they corner it and take it down?

All I know is that I must now ensure that my small dog is kept safe for the time being.

This is a graphic picture but I trust that since this is nature's way of dealing with things then it will be accepted by all.
