Poeple tresspass here all the time , the fine is $78.50 if they get caught it is a lot cheaper than paying to lease or an outfitter.

Wes, please don't categorize ALL dog hunting clubs in your post. Our club does more for our community that the Red Cross and I for one am sick and tired of ALL dog hunters being accused of hunting where ever they please and trespassing on private land. In my area we have a problem in the suburbs. SOME still hunters are being dropped off by their wives in these deer infested private communities and harvest more than their fair share of trophy bucks with archery equipment but I don't go bashing ALL bowhunters and still hunters. It's not fair to bash all dog hunters because of the actions of a few in YOUR neighborhood. And the old debate continues. Sorry for the rant but the general accusations are getting real old.

Crazyfarmer, AMEN Brother! I don't ever recall God, the Federal Government or any DNR herding up deer and them issuing them to folks that enjoy the legal and different means of harvesting them.

With the ongoing diversity of many many hunters, this mentality will eventually be the demise of the sport that we all so deal love.

C'mon, Ray ... this is family. Tell us how you really feel! :P

Holding it all in like that is unhealthy!

You're right, of course:

There are some responsible and ethical dog hunters.

I know a few myself, other than you and Tyler.

There are also many irresponsible and abusive ones, as you know.

Sadly, the bad ones get all the press. No one notices the good clubs like yours.

I'm afraid guys like y'all get lumped in with the bad guys all too often. :(

As a follow up I have been writing to every company who has products or their logo displayed at the Lethal Impact Outfitters website. I am telling them that as long as their logo or their product is displayed at the website that I will request of everyone I talk to or know to cease using their products.

Continuing to have their product or logo associated with the website of a bunch of poachers only condones the actions of these criminals!

Two companies have responded, one said they would look into it and another tried to cop out by saying they have no control over what people do with their product after it is purchased. I wrote back to them saying that as long as they continued to have their logo on the web site that I will continue my crusade.

I am livid!

And I have a keyboard and know how to use it.

I am going after these guys. I will continue to write every sponsor that appears on their website.

But I cannot do this alone, I need your help. Post this on every forum you belong to. Let other forums know that a so called "professional" outfitter, and feel free to call them by name and link their website, is nothing more then a glorified poaching operation!

Spread the links to this story!

Wait until you see the letter I am firing off to the good people at the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources.

I will post a copy when it is completed.

Mike, I feel certain that with plenty of time and lots of therapy, you may one day learn to freely express yourself! :P

Poor keyboard!

Sounds like you're having an effect on 'em, though.

Keep up the good work!

Mike, what you have posted is a serious problem and it was very wrong of me to divert attention away from the problem. Please accept my sincere apology. Sounds like you've worn the fingerprints off of the tips of your fingers on your keyboard on this issue and rightfully so. I really hope that they can find out who the landowners are that have been effected and make these outlaws compensate them.
God Bless !!!!!!!!!

Relax Ray, your OK.

I will not let this thread wonder.

And I thank you for sending the emails that you did.

I am going to find out the exact date this guy goes to court. And I will be there. I want to find out just how close these money grubbing poachers got to our farm.

I am going to do everything within my power to raise such a stink about this outfit that the Ohio DNR changes the way outfitters do business in the state of Ohio.

I am going to turn Becker lose on any and all judges involved. I am going to contact every politician from lowly county trustee to the governors office. There is no way Ohio can continue to let any Tom, Dick or Poacher put out a shingle and call themselves an outfitter!

Eighty Grand! Get your arms around that. Eighty grand they took in from hunters last year with their glorified poaching operation!

Keep us up to date on this pelase.

I am surprised that a 'big buck" state like Ohio does not have anything in place to regulate outfitters.

It's sad that a few bad apples ruin the bunch. I grew up dog hunting in Alabama and because of a few outlaws and a bunch of belly aching whining hunters who leased property the dog hunters have gotten a bad rap. A way of life and a part of southern tradition has been made illegal.

First, this is not about dog hunters! It has nothing to do with dog hunters or this method of hunting in the south.

This is about a commercial hunting enterprise generating a large sum of money annually for what can only be described as organized poaching!

And mikej, you are correct, team backwoods is prominently displayed at the poachers website.

I sent Dan at team backwoods an email alerting him to this fact early Sunday morning. I also left a PM for Peter doing the same. Of course they have nothing to do with this criminal enterprise but guilt by association is very hard to purge from the public mind. I am pretty sure they will request that their logo's or mention of their company or product be removed from that site.
