Oh my, what an ANGEL! My wife and I shared your experience with our first.
God bless you and yours.

Thanks, guys. :D

It may be hard for some of you to understand, but when you must bear a grief like Hannah's death, it's good just to know someone knows. Because life goes on, most everyone forgets our loss. That's normal, but it's difficult.

This can be especially hard when you live and interact with a huge "extended family", like my congregation. Today I had to announce the birth of seven babies. I rejoice in the arrival of each one, and I'm so glad for the proud parents. I hold their kids and play with them. But, at the same time, I hold a grief so great in me that I dare not mention it ... an ache that hurts so bad. It feels so lonely sometimes. We don't dare say a word, 'cause we don't want to blunt anyone's rejoicing.

Being able to tell y'all what I'm feeling and to lean on you means something to me. I appreciate every thought and prayer.

You're a special group of people, and I'm proud to have you as friends.

Grizz, we share your grief here. It's a good place to come and talk about the stuff that matters to you most.

Wow Griz that rips my heart out. A very close friend of mine lost his 21 year old son (Cory) a year ago in a car wreck the day before he was leaving for basic training in the National Guard. I am very close to him and I do not know how he deals with it, he is a much stronger man than I. Now that I am a new Dad I think of this on a day to day basis and I must admit it scares me to death. My heart and prayers are there for you. Although Hannah and Cory are wanted and loved here they must have been needed for something that is beyond what we can comprehend somewhere else and we all were very blessed to have had the short time we had with them. Although this may not make sense to us now someday it will. It has to!
