Hey! I love my Bowtech! Compound bow that is.... I wouldn't even consider one of their crossbows.

Yup, Excaliburs and tenpoints are what I have. One Ibex, two vixens and one tenpoint Stealth XLT. No problems with any of them. :D

After reading a lot of that topic Boo posted (and skimming over a lot of the arguing), my favorite line in the whole thing...........
Jealousy posts. Thats funny stuff right there. Not sure what they have to be jealous about. Boy, wish I had me one of those broken bows so I could piss away the rut here in Nebraska too!!

Before I got my Equinox, I had shot a few crossbows but not many. I had never shot an Excalibur though. I'm a Hunter Education and Bowhunter Education Instructor here in KY. Several different companies offer discounts to instructors for their products because they'll get used in classes most of the time (increasing the exposure of their product). Excalibur was one of the companies that offered a discount. Even though I had never shot an Excalibur, from what I had learned about them I knew that they were the only bow I wanted. Great customer service, simplicity of design, fast, accurate, etc, etc, etc. The list goes on and on. Another big selling point for me was Bill Troubridge himself. Even though I had never met him, from what I could tell during my research and talking to people who had met him, he was the "Real Deal". Very high standards, used his own products and torture tested them, very active in advocating crossbows and hunting in general, and just a really great guy.

I worked with our hunter education division, who got me the info on ordering the Excalibur. When it came in, I was like a kid on Christmas morning! :D Even without having gotten a little bit of a discount, I still was going to get an Excalibur, regardless of the price.

That was back in the summer of 2009 and I still haven't had any issues with the bow. The scope crapped out on me last winter, but that was my fault. The bow has performed flawlessly every time. Not to mention the little "accessories" I got from people on this forum (Groundpounder quiver mount, NGSS, Boo strings).

Shortly after getting the Equinox, I signed up on here. Just like with the bow itself, the Excalibur Community is top notch as well! Everyone looks out for everyone else, has a good time, shares their highs and lows, and the main thing..... There isn't the constant bickering like I saw in the topic on Archery Talk! There's only 3 web sites that I post on any more because I can't stand the constant put downs and bickering you see on most other places.

Even though I've only got the 1 Excalibur now, I know my 9 year old will be needing his own bow here before too long. When the time comes, it's going to be another Excalibur. Image
