NEED HELP
from a forum member in Canada who has PayPal.
My bank WILL NOT accept Canadian currency or checks/money orders in Canadian dollars. :(
Would anyone with the ability to accept donations in Canadian dollars (and a PayPal account) be willing to accept donations and forward them to me at the end of the fundraiser?????

Wabi:

I am more than willing to do that with my Paypal.
Anyone who is sending checks can send them to me and I will deposit them and transfer to my Paypal.
Then I will Paypal Transfer all the funds to Wabi.
No problem. And as All help me when I need it, I will send in some as well.

WABI,
Am sending you a personal check on Monday via U.S. Mail. I will make it out to you,if you don't get enough to cover the total cost just PM me and we will make it happen. Nothing I hate in this world more than a thief. I will give you the shirt off my back if you need it,just don't steal it off my cloths line.

Decided to do something different for a call to give away in a drawing for members who donate.
I avoid laminates, as they are good looking, but a PITA to make.
I've had too many that cracked when I turn them on the mandrel & bushings I use to turn calls. (the bushings grip the wood from inside the 3/4" hole drilled in the blank, and sometimes the force of the bushing pushing out leads to disaster)

I decided to sort through my wood for a nice laminate to try for this call, as I won't be making many from laminates and I want this one to be one of a kind.

Came up with a nice dark laminate and turned a call body to see how it would look. It's not finished, but I stuck a reed/expansion tube in it and took a pic to give members an idea of how it's going to look!
