Big ol' black bear - to try to overcome my bearanoia.
Moose - nothing fancy or huge, just about any mature-ish bull.
Would love to be able to hunt mulies again back in God's Country - if only for the sake of wandering around those Alberta rangelands under that enormous sky again.
Prairie dogs - they're just so much FUN!
Would love to hunt alligator sometime too.

Re: Hunt's left on your bucketlist
Hello Folks,
There is a lot that I i would like to hunt but due to my health and being taken out of the work force the money just isn't there. But if I could, my number one is to hunt and harvest one of those thunder chickens. I have talked to you folks and my friends on this forum that hunts turkey and you have all told me about the ground moving when those thunder chickens start strutting. Now that just gets me excited to think about it whenever I listen to you folks talk about turkey hunting. I can only imagine what it must be like. Here in Nova Scotia, we have ruffed grouse and you can hear them in the woods thumping there wings and that is quite exciting when you are hunting them. But to hunt a turkey, that would really be my number one.
Thanks,
Raymond

Can honestly say I don't have any hunts on my bucket list for myself. I've killed enough whitetails, couple muleys, hogs, turkeys, other misc stuff . Killing a monster of any species really doesn't mean that much anymore. Would very much like to take my son on some hunts abroad though. Think about pronghorns a lot for some reason. He's only 9, so we'll build some confidence first. Thought about doing a turkey hunt swap also, but time to travel is issue right now.
There are some fish I would like to best at my own hands though:
Amberjack over 40 lb
Wahoo over 50 lb
King over 40 lb
Cobia over 40 lb

Very nice robertb. I've caught lots of kings, and a few cobes and AJs, but none over the 40 lb mark. Had a very large king on last year while my son and I were out. It ran out all the 30 lb test in my big spinning rig, 200 yards in about 8 seconds, and bent the hook straight when I tightened down the drag. Would like another shot at that puppy.
Re: Hunt's left on your bucketlist
Im workin on my Turkey Slam , leavin for Texas on March 15 for a Rio , got the Eastern already .
Moose is pretty high up on the list , and Im going to Newfoundland in October for that.
Caribou is another one , and im going for that in August to Nunavut, 2 Bull limit.
After that Gator is one I want , pronghorn , and after that I will see from there.

For me,
Alligator
Pronghorn
Elk
Grizzly bear
Mountain lion
I already have a black bear, hopefully going for another this fall. The only time I have ever been intimidated being in the woods.

I've taken my share of deer and hogs...killed a few turkey's. The hunt that get's me restless now would be a big bull elk with the excal of course.

Close to the same boat, but not quite as relaxed for those I still wish to target...rayman wrote:Can honestly say I don't have any hunts on my bucket list for myself. I've killed enough ...
NICE FISH btw!!
Hunted Africa, had Fun, did Well. But that was with a rifle. Would like to take The Tour (with the same Local Buddies) with the bow...
Hunted the Arctic, but have No Desire to meet Nanook with the bow
Did use it on Barren Ground Caribou with frequency, but that was a vertical.
Hunted a fair amount of the Western US, all of Canada's West, and Truly Loved It (still do by and large). From moose & elk through antelope to pheasants and waterfowl it's been a Great Run! Again, 70% gunpowder. Some of those I'd like to repeat with the bow...
Only a couple of Interest left at this point, and most would indeed require winning the lottery or robbing 9,762 banks
Druthers...
- Getting a Rosi tag for the bow in my back yard (Vancouver Island) Even though living here, the odds are worse than slim (378 to 1 last year...). Struck By Lightening.
Visit ngamokai for a month and change at the right time... Lottery!
Marco Polo Sheep. Rifle, Bow or Hand Grenade. Banks Obviously!
Have guided and still sometimes still do for both Aging. Alberta mostly for that.agingcrossbower wrote:Before I'm pushing diasies I'd like to get a 140 or better Whitetail buck. Also was trying to get a mule deer...
Feeling one or two of the years myself. If you're considering traveling, we should chat
LOVE Your work with the wood btw!!! Hope to own one some day...
Cheers,
Nog
