Those arrows look awesome,Kudo's to Big John for such attention to detail.I know what your saying about works of art.I recently purchased a half doz from John and they looked so nice I almost didn't want to shoot them for fear of scuffing them up.Ultimately I did and got my first deer with one. Some day I may try my hand at building my own but for the forseeable future Big John will get my arrow buisness.

Pyd - you are right on!

John makes beautiful and perfect arrows.

With shooting 3D I go through a fair number of arrows  I remember the first time John made arrows for me - I had some specific things I was looking for in an arrow and he just said "trust me". I did and I'm glad I did! :D

John takes a great deal of pride in his work and it shows. He's a man of few words, but the quality of his product speaks loud and clear!

Once upon a time I showed Big John the custom made arrows I was shooting. He took one look and said, "Those arrows are all wrong for your bow." He was right. John made me arrows that fly faster and flatter than my old arrows, and they kill deer, dead.

I've dealt with Big John ever since owning my first bow.
His arrows are indeed "Works Of Art"!!
They have WELL Proven themselves at extreme distances on the range, and on everything I have ever shot them at. :D

I will shoot no other arrows than those this Fine Man produces!

Excellent post Pydpiper! And I absolutely know your Young Gun is going to be one Happy Camper!!

Cheers!

I absolutely agree, you can pay more but you can't buy better! Once you try a set of John's arrows, you will be ruined for life as few other's can match John's skill and dedication and nobody can match his prices. I know it can be fun to fletch and shoot arrows you have made yourself, but when you need to make that critical shot at that buck (boar, bear, moose, elk, etc) of a lifetime you want the confidence that only a perfectly designed and built arrow can instill.

Pyd, spot on! I recently got my first Big John arrows, complete with Luminocs.John took great pains before the sale to make sure what I wanted was what I got. I do trim and cabinets in really high end homes for a living. Everybody picks my work or try's to. Because of this I am about as picky an 'ol fart as there is. When I got Johns arrows I went over 'em with a fine tooth comb, and they are perfect! Not just good but special perfect. I have made some arrows in the past for myself and they look nice and shoot ok. Inspite of my best efforts, my arrows aren't as nice as Big Johns. As anal as I am about some things that kind of hurts to admit it, but the proof is in the finished product . Hats off to you John. Besides being a professional , you are a true craftsman! And great to deal with as well.

Great gift idea David!

I still have some of John arrows from when I first joined the forum. If I don't loose them they will stand the test of time. I don't know how he does it, when I fletch my own they don't last one season.

The man knows what he's doing.
