I was able to try out several scopes on my bows and am still in search of that one keeper scope. I am really happy with the M355 and want the best scope that I can afford and the crossbones will fit the bill!

A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

The Leupold Crossbones scope is also a VX-1 2-7x33mm, but features the correct crossbow ballistic reticle. I must add it's a wise choice selecting a Leupold for your Matrix 355 you won't be disappointed. I also recommend Leupold rifleman's detachable low rings.

Leupold quote: "The LR Duplex will assist you with accurate, repeatable, and ethical long-range shooting. It features a Duplex central aiming point for rifles zeroed at 200 yards, and calibrated hold points for 300, 400 and 500 yards."

Decided to go with the crossbones scope. Thanks for all the valuable input.

Jeff
Nice scope I am sure you will enjoy it. In addition to the clarity it's also lightweight at only 9.9 ounces.

I also suggest Leupold rifleman detachable low rings. Very inexpensive, lightweight and built strong.

I have a Leupold Ulitmate Slam scope for my ML. Not sure if this scope has the same quality of glass the crossbones or any of the many others listed, (can anyone verify this?) But I'd put the Leupold Ultimate Slam equal to or below my Hawke XB30 for low light shooting. If the crossbones had an illuminated reticle similar to the Hawke, I'd be interested.

That's one thing I like about the XB30, the illumination isn't overpowering like the Excalibur Lumizone-type scopes where the whole reticle shines so bright you lose sight of what you're aiming at.
