New to this forum. I just bought a 405 saturday at the harrisburg sports show. I also bought the trigger tech 2.5 lb for it. It makes this bow shoot like a rifle. Very impressed with the accuracy of this crossbow. I have my 9 year old son hitting bullseye at 50 yrds. I been shooting different crossbows for the past month. I shot just about all the brands out there. Scorpyd tenpoint kodabow ext. If u want to know if this bow is loud the answer is yes. But realistic not much louder then the other brands. If u want to know if it's hard to draw back. I personally don't think so. I can do it sitting down with no trouble. Something I tryed with all the crossbows to see if I could draw them back while sitting in a treestand. The other thing that I have seen people asking about is serving wear. I waxed my serving and have about 200 shots so far on the bow and it shows no sign of wear. The sweet spot for sighting in was 24 yards. You will be about a inch high at 20 yards and two inches low at 40. The more I shot this bow the more I am impressed with it. So much in fact I am doing this review I have never done a review on anything before. If I can help anybody with questions about the bow I will do my best

It's the same as the 380. I went with the 405 because of the scope. I like the twilight better then the tac zone on the 380. I did not feel any difference in cocking the 405 to the 380 ether.

Thanks for the info I havent laid my hands on one yet but I thought it would shoulder the same the cocking thing I wasnt to concerned with the 380 was a breeze for me so I figured the 405 wouldnt be a problem either Ive never seen the Twilight before And I had no problem wiyh my TactZone Thanks Again

Hi Austin and welcome. Thanks for the review. I'm curious, just because I've been told by a number of different people, when you say the 405 is no different than the 380 to draw, how big a fella are you? Is this a bow you could shoot in your yard for two or three hours? ...and I'm glad you're loving it! :D

I am 6 2 and 210 lbs. I would say yes on cocking this bow for 2 or 3 hrs. My first day shooting it was for about six hours. Now there was plenty of breaks bs with other guys at the range. From my understanding with the rope cocker your not pulling back the hole 290 lbs. It's more like half that.

405 arrived this morning and just put it together. Nice fit and finish everywhere, very pleased thus far. Like the scope very much as well. No problem cocking or releasing, just tried it. Looks like this is gonna be FUN! The new model case for these Matrix bows is very nice as well.
Time to put another log on the fire!

Hmmmm....all this positive feedback on the 405. I already cancelled my order on a 405 and was just going to keep my 380 (which I love) but now I'm thinking I may need a backup bow....yeah, that's it, back up just in case. Lol.

hey Eragon i an very hapy to hear all the great things you and others are saying about the 405!! :D have you shot any broadheads out of it yet? I really like wide COC heads like the Grizz Trick and had a worry the huge increase in speed would make it rough to control a arrow tiped with something of that nature, without putting a crap ton of weight forward and killing the speed :x I love going fast and cutting wide... makes a awsome mess

First. Welcome to the forum. I have heard where the matrix models all had the same limbs that the power stroke or length of it is where they separated into the 355,380, 405 So my question is ,does a 330 have the same limbs as a 405 ?

Yes, the 330 has the same limbs as the 405. You are correct about the mainframe differences.
