excalibure marketing dude, will a person still be able to get replacement limbs for the wide bows on down the road?or will eventually a split limb mean done for and have to buy a new narrower bow? thanks..Excalibur Marketing Dude wrote:Here's the deal, the Grizzly and Matrix 310 are virtually the same crossbow. The reason for the slight difference in advertised speeds is just which way we rounded the number since they never are exactly a 305 or 310. They may shoot 302 or 308 so we have come up with a number that makes sense, thus the reason for no speed number in the name Grizzly. Each crossbow is an individual, I remember last year we had a Matrix 405 shooting 417 and some would be 403 so you need to pick a number somewhere in there. But, in the big picture a few feet per second in one direction or the other makes no difference...it will still do its job.![]()

Re: Grizzly Vs 310
Since we build our own limbs and have the molds we can always make the older limbs if by chance we ever run out. Right now we have lots of limbs to look after any older crossbow warranty issues for many years to come.will a person still be able to get replacement limbs for the wide bows on down the road?

Re: Grizzly Vs 310
They are the same bow except for the stock length and different strings. Put a regular matrix string on a Cub and you have a black Grizzly with a shorter stock. Your wish came true.JUSTANUFF wrote:Wish the Grizzly had the option of the shorter Cub stock

Re: Grizzly Vs 310
Guys I have a Grizzly, and I was worried about the cheaper plastic rail, but after shooting it, I could not be happier.
I chronographed my Grizzly with the Diablo and 150 grain field points, and I got an average of 298. With 125 Grain tips, it averages 306.
I did not expect speeds nowhere near that, but I am very pleased. I can live with a 400 grain arrow at 298 fps, and extremely good accuracy.
I like the Dead Zone scope a lot better than the SMF scope that comes on the 310.
I do like the aluminum rail looks, but I liked paying 550 bucks and getting a very accurate crossbow.
If I ever buy another crossbow, you can bet it will be an Excalibur.

The Cub is available bow only, but I don't think that the Grizzly is.
