Wow
That is exactly why I transport my Xbow in a tombstone case on my ATV.
I know my Xbow and scope are tough after dropping 10 feet to the ground when lowering from my treestand this year, so I'm sure it's all stronger than dirt; however, I don't want to push my luck with continuos stress tests going into the woods like that.

Just curious how you secure your Xbow on the ATV while in the case? Do you use tie downs, bungy cord? I agree, I think keeping it in the case may be the best way to go. Any pics of your set Xbow mounted on your ATV would be helpful.
Thanks!

Sorry no pictures, and the ATV is at the hunting camp and will not be seen again until May. Let me provide you with as good a visual description as I can.
I put the Xbow in the Tombstone Case behind my seat on top of the back rack. Of course the case is situated so the scope is on the top, and again I put a large plastic contractor trash bag around the case to keeep the splashed mud off of it. It doesn't cover the case 100%, but pretty close, which is good enough. I secure it with a couple of big adjustable bungee cords - the wide flat ones that you can pull tighter if needed. I make sure these are real tight. Some of the Tombstone case may extend a little bit onto my seat behind me, but that's o.k.
I have a 2000 Polaris 300 Explorer, 2 stroke and the back rack is fairly good size, the front rack not so big. On the back of the rack, I have a treestand holder which sticks up a little in the middle and helps to hold anything on the back rack from sliding back.
The front rack, I generally just bungee other stuff to; however, attached to the front of my front rack I have one of those ribbed gun holders as was shown in someone elses picture holding their Xbow. The primary purpose of that rack is to keep things that I have bungeed to the front rack from sliding forward. The only thing that I put in those ribbed gun holders when riding is the quiver from my vertical bow. I need to wrap that in a contractor bag to keep the mud off.
I never ride with a bow or a gun in one of those front racks - too much mud and vibration. Anything with a scope on it or with parts that might work loose, I'm afraid of excessive vibration or the chance of something such as a branch hitting it when I go by. There is alot of vibration on that front rack, I know, because even the arrows in my vertical bow quiver will work loose some from the ride up the trail. For my rifle, I have one of those Kolpin gun holders that is mounted to the side of the back rack of my ATV that is situated diagonally and starts just a few feet behind me on the side of the back rack and the front is just outside my right foot when I'm on the ATV. I just put that on during gun season since I have to step over it to get on the ATV.
