X2..
Ill have to go out in the sun to test farther ..but I cant wrap my head around why it would make a slower reading..
My understanding is the Chrony eyes work off the shadow of the projectile as it passes over each and calculates the time from on to the other..
when using outside I have always got varied reading because the light was constantly changing.so to me a good solid constant light source should give the most accurate readings.
I don't know how many times I have been frustrated with errors and off the wall reading while shooting outside.

I could see where using a long pointy tip (like a BH) would cause error, because it would cast a different shadow depending on rotation. Should always use a FP. Also, the eyes have a sweet spot distance above them that you want to pass the arrow through. For my F1 it's 4" to 6" above the eye. I marked these distances on my light shield bars in red, and then when I setup I use a laser boresighter sitting in the rail to make sure I am in the middle of the sweet spot. The F1 is drilled on the bottom for a standard camera tripod attachment, so I put it on that so it's easy to adjust the height.

this is the camo version which is supposed to be slower....
I have to check mine again with the lighter arrows I'm flinging now. Great speeds the Canuck!
