REAL "Stalking" is a LOT tougher than sitting in a stand IMHO.
I do both. Stalking, and consistently Spot & Stalking with results takes a lot more Concentration and Awareness of everything in your surroundings than sitting - well at least for me...

I find I can return from a day in the blind still raring to go. A day of true Stalking Always leaves me Drained! So may hours of working difficult terrain, every sense on Red Alert, and eyeballs (ears, sixth sense) working overtime have a way of wearing you down... Certainly worth it when it All Comes Together!

Cheers,
Nog

Truer words were never spoken my friend!!!! If done right, it is by golly draining! I haven't still hunted with my 380 yet, and haven't really in the last few seasons. My low back gets a little worse every year, and the hardest thing for me is to carry anything in front of me..... Makes it hurt even worse and much quicker. The second worst thing for it is simply standing still. I can walk for miles, but standing still for even a few minutes has me wanting and needing to move or sit down.

That sucks, because In my younger days I managed to stalk to within 20 yards or less at least 3 times, and THAT was VERY exciting!!! :D
