Prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery.
Never had any surgery of that kind, and from what I've read here I don't want to!

It was a rough day!
My morning coffee didn't work and I was all plugged up, so I took some milk of magnesia and a glass of water. It did not loosen me up, but about 10 minutes later I suddenly got sick and ended up kneeling in front of the throne giving up my breakfast with sweat rolling off me. Wife wanted to take me to emergency but I crawled in bed for a couple hours and felt better. But the heaving part may have hurt me... been in much more pain since then :(

Going back to bed with another ice pack
Ron

Ya could handle it the old Canadian way. Cut a good sized hole in the ice, make a good comfortable seat, and just dangle those, poor beat up boys down the hole in the ice water. Just make sure you keep a sharp eye out for a hungry pike or you might just get a quick operation you were not looking expecting :D but at least the boys would be put out of their misery.

Tuesday night was the last time I took any pain meds other than aleve.
It is amazing how painful getting out of bed or a chair can be
I'm not sure what all is involved with hernia surgery, but man they must really beat the tar out of you while they got you knocked out.
Gonna go for my daily walk to the post office ( 1/2 block away)
I know walking is important for circulation in your legs after surgery, but I can sure feel things stretching against the stitches inside when I walk. Anything more than a snails pace gets pretty painful.
Dr apt is Monday so will see how things are then :)

I don't think it will be long before everyone here knows me.
Only one week gone and already getting board.
I find myself logging on here several times a day as apposed to a few times a week before my surgery.

They booked my surgery for June 15. I'm not to lift more than 20 lbs until then, then doc said no lifting for 6 weeks after that. I don't even know if I'll be able to ride my motorcycle during that time. Cocking the crossbow will be out, I'm told sex is out. I don't watch TV, Only thing I got left is eating, but your story of getting sick just killed that for me. Only got thing is I should be mended by the time dear season gets here.

I'm hoping to be able to golf, ride motorcycle, and cock my crossbow some time this summer. Then I will need to get working on firewood as well :(

Doctor said everything looks as it should.
Hopefully there won't be any leftover pain from the mesh he stitched in.
Got one spot right where the bulge was that is very irritating sometimes.
Go back to see him again in about 3 weeks.

I had both sides done at same time a little over 2 years ago. I can't tell that anything was ever done as far as the mesh goes. Pain free. :D
