Re: micro paronoia
Shoot back in 81 I had an RD350LC and it was a well proven design (liquid cooled 2 stroke twin) that had enough go to smoke any KZ or GPZ 550 that was foolish enough to try.
I however do not want to be a beta tester for a bowtech micro tho

To Bad!
Your missing out on a Fantastic Bow!
To much fuss for a very small percentile.
It is getting overblown a bit. Mostly by the same few. Then others who don't even have one join in, and so on,....
It just keeps getting played over like a new song on the radio.
The Micro is Good!!!

the sky is falling
Mine went within the first few shots out of the box. But thank goodness it's backed by the lifetime warranty as I was back up in no time thanks to Barry at Woody's Sporting Goods. I've been shooting in the new limbs and so far it's holding up great and I'm gaining confidence with hopes to dropping some woods rats this season!

p0nypwr, the sky isn't falling...really, it isn't.
BTW, your limb failure is described as fiberglass delamination, not "blew" up as stated in you other post.

Re: micro paronoia
my 380-335 & 405 had enough shots threw them to prove to me they had good
limbs.fiber glass resin if mixed wrong with mek (hardener) will kick off faster than its suppose to and become a hot mix which ends up burnt or brittle.that could be whats going on..years ago I did fiber glass hand layup for 2 years its a highly intoxicating job so human error could take place (ops to much hardener)..Excalibur should test there limbs like hoyt I belive my carbon spyder was dry fired 1500 times before I got it that's what hoyt does......(I not saying dry fire it but maybe flex the limbs on a machine a chit load of times instead of letting the customer do it)

Re: micro paronoia
The sky might not be falling but something is not right. Clearly the Micro is a good design capable of high shot cycle counts without failing as proven by those of you that have done it .
But there has never been a time that I can remember so many Excalibur owners reporting not one but multiple, unexplainable limb failures, all in such a short period of time.

I believe I would adjust my arrow retainer before I had a dry fire . Looks way too high . JMOp0nypwr wrote:the sky is falling

Re: micro paronoia
I bought a Lynx 380 and shortly herd of a couple limbs failing,,,,, 2 months later,,, I bought a Mad Max 380,,,,,killed 6 deer last year, and never a hiccup, season ended the first of february and I been shoot'n em all every since daily,, except 6 weeks I was filling the freezer with Walleye. Got the Micro 2 months ago,,,, and have 3 to 400 shots on it and then this chit starts,,,,, probably handle this the same way I did the 380's,,,,,, I like it so da*m much, I think I'll buy another, but I wanta 355,,,,,,
If that happens,,,, I will have one! No GUTS No GLORY!!!!!!

Re: micro paronoia
Proven fact 80% buy a bow and not shoot it, or a couple shots and put it away till hunting season. Then it comes out a week before season for a couple shots then hunt and repeat the pattern. So quickly 2% does not look so good.

Re: micro paronoia
Less than 2%... Looks great.
and I seriously doubt it will go any higher when deer season starts.

actually, its a proven fact that most "proven facts" are, in fact, not proven at all
so if you own a Micro and are worried, I will be glad to take it off your hands at a discount commensurate with your concern....
