Slick trick's literature suggests that less cutting surface (2 blade heads, 1" multi blade heads) add to better penetration on larger game. That said, with a 405 I would bet you could blow a 6 bladed mechanical through an elephant. We all already know this, but, if you use any head you have proven will shoot well and you make sure it is sharp, you will inflict a fatal wound.
