In my opinion the air brakes don't do much on the small to mid range bows.

I prefer a 40 strand string with whiskers, heavier arrows, and limb silencers.
I feel the 40 strand reduce noise, vibration, and recoil shock, and are more accurate.
Best thing is ear plugs :wink:
I have never heard a deer or target complain about the noise when shot.
my arrows weigh 427.8 gn with 125 gn tip attached.
I prefer to use a 40 strand string on my 310 for target shooting all afternoon.
I use a 28 to 32 strand string on my 330 for hunting.

I use yarn cut 3" long 10 on each side WITH NO FPS LOST and I have checked on four Excalibur bows try it you will like it.
