Re: Retrieving SD card images to iphone?
My son ordered a couple of the little cables from China, less that $2 for 3 of them.
Plugs in to the bottom of the phone, and responds to any USB device, wireless mouse, keyboard, thumb drive, and in this case, a card reader.
When you plug it in the phone immediately responds as a 3rd hard drive, any photos show in your gallery instantly. And sized card, physical or memory.
Inexpensive alternative to taking your phone apart in the bush. It's been a fun toy.

Re: Retrieving SD card images to iphone?
It is called a USB OTG ( OnTheGo ) cable. It lets your android phone work as a host controller and access a SD/MICRO card reader. Amazon is the easiest place to find them.
A normal micro to USB cable allows your computer to be a host and the phone or card reader to be a slave device. A USB to OTG cable has pins 4 & 5 grounded together allowing your phone to be the host device and a card reader act as the slave.
Newer phones with the proper USB to OTG should automatically recognize the card reader, after it is plugged in and open up the file manager software to search the directory tree for the folder where you game camera stores images/videos.

That's the whole idea of it! Just have to be within 90' to download the photos.colouredchameleon wrote:

Order being processed . Free shipping through Amazon +++
Hope as a bonus it works while still installed in trailcam
Would mean not having to unlock the camera to get SD Card out each time.
Just connect through phone and download pics will be worth every penny if it does.

I like having the physical card reader, I keep a bunch of creepy deep woods photos on my phone, slip a couple on to any trail camera I come across.
What bear?
