VixChix sure makes a lot of since in using a flash light to and from your hunting spot.. And if i hunt public land i will for sure have it on. But where i hunt now is private land, with locked gates and big posted no hunting or trespassing signs. I walk to my stands most the time without a light, in the morning. And always use one after the hunt going back or if i need to track an animal. Sneaking into blinds close to food plots early with the least disturbance just seems right to me.But those darn spiders are always a pain....

We're blessed with plenty of spiders where we hunt, they got 200,000 acres of woods to choose from but they'll string webs across every trail we have :?: I've tied sticks and wood dowels on the front of my ATV to try to catch them before they wrap around my face.
But speaking of spiders, ever noticed how their eyes reflect light? I always thought it was drops of dew or moisture glistening and reflecting my flashlight but a guy told me one time it's spider eyes reflecting the light back at you, and I investigated his claim and sure enough, every little point of multi-colored prismatic light I saw sparkling in the dark had a little bitty black spider attached to it. Kind of creepy...

Wolf spiders! The little things have amazing "eyeshine" and seem to be everywhere at night.

I never seem to find the webs in the dark. I do seem to find every one during the daylight. I like to bring them home for the wife

Whats really fun is be looking real close at the underside of one of those big garden spider's whose web I just walked face first through, walking across the lens of my specticals.

I was sitting in a DB blind on a food plot this morning cause it was pouring rain when a Daddy Longlegs walked off my hat brim onto my glasses. I almost knocked my glasses off before I actually saw what it was. I thought for a second that it was a brown recluse. Another live release was made.
