That being the case ? There would be no reason to replace the stock. I would just send the cheek rest to Excal or Danny Miller and ask for a new one... This is a warranty issue. I'm sure they would be happy to take care of it.
You are bang on Gene. That's exactly what the problem is. Soon as I opened the box I noticed it moving around on the stock.
Obvioulsy someone in manufacturing went a little crazy and over torqued it, thus stripping out the cheekpiece.
Yeah it's a bit of a pain to take it back to BP. It's no big deal....but heck I'd be willing to buy a new cheekpiece if they won't cover it.
I requested a RMA yesterday and haven't heard anything as of yet.
Your RMA# is EXA10014126, you should have received an email with the information. It was sent yesterday afternoon so you should have it by now, if not check your junk mail box. We will of course replace the cheek piece no problem. I see that you're in Ontario if you're close you can always drop by the office and we will just exchange it for you while you wait...
