This is what my arrow hold down spring looks like. No problems whatsoever. The bow is deadly. Does it help? Not sure, but it certainly does not hurt anything. The two rubber thingys are from Bowjax.

I seen those on some pics on another forum.I see you did shrink wrap right to the tip..You can do same as those rubber things with sink rubber washers put a few on the RS ..I went to hardware store and got some size of RS in that location..

I start with a vinyl tubing, the kind they sell at tackle stores to secure spinnerbait trailing hooks, then I use the heavy duty shrink tube with the internal adhesive Boo spoke of. I use Scorpion Venom rail lube to make it slickery every 20 to 30 shots. I have never seen any wear with nearly 1000 shots. I do keep applying more and more pressure up on the retention arm till I have about 1/4" clearance between the finished spring and the rail. I also cut a piece of limbsaver and notch it and then super glue it to the retention arm about center.
