Very nice Dennis! :D I arrowed a bear with my compound years ago that dropped where it was. It was feeding in tall grass and my shot went through both shoulders and it was planted right there. Unfortunately I needed a quick follow up because it was still alive. Way to go to your brother....now get out there and don't let him show you up! :wink:

Ooops, I missed this on my earlier post. Still a great shot. Pigs have a smaller vital area than a deer. due to the big scapula and on a boar the big shield. The best shot is quartering away and you tuck it in the armpit.

I killed a buck a few years ago at a similar angle to the bolt in the pig, and he dropped in his tracks too. I never did figure out what the broad head hit, but mine didn't penetrate well either. He went down like a ton of bricks though.
