bstout what you've just said above is 100% correct. There are farmers that would totally clear all their land just to have more income. For instance. The first quarter(160 acres) that my wife and I purchased, was destined to be cleared, and made into a big pasture. This is what the rancher next to me said one day while we were having a conversation. If he was to buy it, that's exactly what he'd do. It took me all of one day to decide we were going to buy it, and we did. "Now the land is healing". But it didn't stop there, this same farmer went "tits up", and is no longer in the area, "good riddance", we've now purchased his quarter next to us.

The preservation of habitat is quintessential, not only for hunting, but for the survival of mankind. We cannot exceed our global rations. This is why we spend all of our disposable income into " the land", this way I can justify my hunting and fishing addiction. If PETA doesn't like it , well.................. they can go to hell!!!

Sorry this post touched a nerve.
