If that is the case CB and this post was not a mistake and really was meant for the open forum then it certainly puts the credibility of the aforementioned "situation" in jeopardy.

I'm pretty sure that was TigerPaw's full intention!! What else would he bring it back to the TOP with his last post!! If that was the case why not just say it from the beginning i think we all would repect you a little more!
No doubt your upset, and i understand were your coming from! Too bad they are a few bad apples or bad apple in the bunch!!

It was meant to be a pm between Jay and I but maybe it turned out for the best that it ended up here.

Something 'fishy'

Post by bobby jost »

Evidently WalknTall has his doubts... I'll have to agree! In the first place, a cop is in the business of secrecy. Something 'fishy' going on here.

What detachment did this fellow spend his early years doing police work.. just wondering?

Tight lips,
Why do you think it's "fishy"?

Hey, Tigerpaw ...

Sorry you had an unpleasant experience in connection with your deer hunt.

If you were innocent of wrongdoing and that was the determination of the wildlife officers, then all is well that has ended well, and justice has been served.

As to the conduct of another or others that brought you to that unfortunate confrontation, why do you persist in telling us how surprised you are to find that people can do such things?

I say this with all due respect, and I'm not trying to be funny, but: What planet have you been living on?

Here on Planet Earth, people do bad things all the time, and nothing is surprising except the fact that we are allowed to live on and given opportunity to overcome our twisted tendencies.

The one who wronged you has his own price to pay for that action. No one "gets by" with anything in life.

You don't have to let it eat on you, you know. You can go on from here, being the best Tigerpaw you can be, intent on making the world a better place for your walking through it ... but that's not done by always talking about how bad other folks have been.

I say that as your friend.

I was on the forum the day that Tigerpaw made his initial post. I sent him a P.M to ask if the post was meant to be a P.M or open forum.

The next day when I signed onto the forum I had a P.M waiting from Tigerpaw. His reply was that it was supposed to be a P.M. and thanked me for the heads-up.

It's not that hard to get mixed up between a forum post page and a P.M page. Have a look and see.

I've posted a P.M accidentally a few times in the forum but I usually check my posts and have caught my error and deleted it. Sometimes, at a later date or time when I'm reading posts I find a spelling error and edit it.

So how about cutting the guy some slack??

If only we were all perfect!!!

(Edited and added on to.)

I just checked my P.M's and the initial post.

Tigerpaw's post:

Deleted: meant as pm.

My P.M to him:

Subject: Hi
Didi you mean this post to be private???

I received a P.M from him but deleted it. As I said before I didn't sign into the forum till next day.

Tigerpaw's one and only edit to the initial post was:

It appears to me that when TP got back onto the forum he received my P.M and corrected his error.

Of course by me being an ex-cop and in the busines of secrecy I could be lying.

Hmmmm! That sounds fishy.

I'm glad he posted it and I'd really like to know who called the MNR on him. Many of us on this forum have land to hunt and people to invite and I think it useful to know who did it.

I agree that it's not hard to hit the wrong button, and I don't doubt that's what happened, as Tigerpaw hasn't given me any reason to doubt him.

You're right about no one being perfect, and that's my point: no one is, and that's no surprise ... including whoever called the law on Tigerpaw. I was saying that there's no need to find bad behavior surprising.

It seems like he's really rattled about their having done that, and I really do think it's better not to brood on it, for his sake.

Pedestrian

Post by bobby jost »

This continuing dialogue reveals hidden messages or perhaps it's code I'm to decipher.

Truthfully, law and order protects us all from the 'pedestrian' rogues who live seconds away from acting and not reacting... intelligently! RJ' and 'WalknTall's tribe beats the same drum as mine.

Long live secrecy... it could save your behind.
