just had to add their trip back home would have been REAL interesting had I served our local delicacy of pinto beans w/ mesquite smoked pork steak pieces and corn bread the night before they left.
Don't forget to wash it down with buttermilk.

I can just picture them cruising along in freezing weather with all the windows open and heads hanging out!

A little more info. This 3-D shoot. Only had 4 targets, but my property is mostly laid out N-S w/ cross trails in a couple of spots. I suggested to place the targets off the N-S trail next to the E-W trail so you could get two shots on each, both at different ranges. Picture walking south, take a shot at 1st, then go south a little more, take shot at second, then walk back north, head east and voila! Same two targets but off the E-W trail at diff ranges w/ a repeat at the other end. Fine. Looked good on paper. lol. Next came scoring. Mind you a few of the competitors were mildly into Smokes Capt Morgan by now. Much talk about scoring. I decided since I was basically "Ring Master Ned" the K.I.S.S. way was 5 shooters, one small match book size bull on all 8 targets to do it the easy way. Closest to the bull a 5. Decending order to a 1. Worked well. Smoke won, I came in 2nd [had the Capt Morgan on 4 wlr, lol] And to boot, some how we only ended up w/ 7 targets when we shoulda had 8, lol. Now it gets better! I completely missed 2 of the 7!! I suppose you are thinking the Americans won by a landslide?? Noooo, the "landslide" is WHERE we held the match!! See, me and Smoke being True Hillbillies have developed the ability to automatically shrink one leg or the other about 4". That is a HUGE advantage!! We were almost like standing on flat ground while our buddies were shooting standing on a steep incline!! Tom was shooting his original Relayer [Lucky Dog] and we we're joshing him that he could actually set his bow down and run up and re-adjust the target to his favor before the arrow got there in the event he made a bad shot! Kinda thing guys do, lol. If y'all think this thread is funny [hope so] you shoulda been here!!!

A little more on Tom's Relayer. What a sweet bow! I had the pleasure of not only seeing one for the first time, but actually shooting it several times. Contrary to my feeble attempt at humor in the 3-D match previous post, it lacks nothing! Well, maybe a hill billy new owner, lol. I got to play w/ a piece of history that we all should have the chance to see. Thanks, Tom and Excal!!

Dan, my wife Karin just pointed out to me that there is a common theme amongst my friends. My buddy Frank shot his own truck with a rifle last year! Hehehehehe!
