Please keep remembering us in your thoughts and prayers, especially this Wednesday, as we will get the results of my wife Shawn's PET scan. Hopefully that scan will show no more signs of cancer. Their is strength in prayer!

The Update:

Friends, I would like to thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. We got the PET scan results today and it was good news. The scan didn't find anymore cancer, so hopefully they got there in time and got it all the first go around.

The Dr is still concerned with how it developed the way that it did and that Shawn has a hard spot on one of her tonsils. So the Dr is referring her to one of the Emory University Hospital Drs that deal with the neck and throat area specifically. This way hopefully they can fully rule out any other possibilities of cancer in her throat/neck are including the tonsils. With her heart condition and the Pradaxa blood thinner she takes, he felt more comfortable with the Emory Drs examining it further and possibly removing her tonsils to be sure it is not the start of anymore cancer or the cause of it, as Shawn's form of cancer was likely a viral lymphoma type cancer, since she neither smokes or drinks. So, the journey is not over yet, but we do feel blessed and quite relieved with the results of the Pet Scan.

Again thank you all, for all of the wonderful thoughts, prayers and words of encouragement you have given for Shawn and our family, they are much appreciated.
