You forgot wheelie,,,, that's the 80% that have 80% more self inflicted failures than the rest of the crossbow community!!!!!

actually, its a proven fact that most "proven facts" are, in fact, not proven at all
so if you own a Micro and are worried, I will be glad to take it off your hands at a discount commensurate with your concern....

is 2% projected or actual? The number increases as time goes by naturally.

My opinion as a non north American is when I get a thread of 85% voting against me buying a micro in my remote location versus 1 guy for it, there is definetly a problem. Its a good way to look at the quality without having the 'great excalibur warranty and return" if you can't make use of the warranty and return ;) For the record people mostly recommended exomags, vortex's and 330's.

Those were good choices for sure!
However, if you knew how many of those needed new limbs you would.....
I just hope that whatever bow you get, follow all the steps exactly, and watch the DVD, and you hopefully will never need to use Warranty.
I might suggest that you use a little over 380 gr. arrow as well.
Hope all goes perfectly for you.

I own two Excaliburs. A Vortex and a M-330. Both have had limb failures.
Yep. 100% limb failures  and never had a dry fire with either bow.
Both were taken care of immediately by Danny Miller. :D

Am I worried about my 100% limb failures? Will I be selling either bow?

NOPE!!!!!

I am a happy camper and LOVE my Excaliburs.

The main reason you got that many other Excal recommendations. Is because of yer remoteness to warranty repairs on a timely basis. As fer the Micro worry I have none, I have a back-up n that's jus good common sense fer me as much huntin as I do

...you bring up an interesting point Mike....most forum members have more than one firearm, more than one compound and most likely should (if not already ) have a backup crossbow if they hunt hard and long....ergo, they would never be at the mercy of being in the woods twiddling....ah, I really love my Jelly Belly!

BTW, your limb failure is described as fiberglass delamination, not "blew" up as stated in you other post.
Normous, I'm sorry you didn't see the humor in my comment which was simply following the prior funny commentary, perhaps the laughing smiley didn't register with you but please know this was just in jest and not to allude to more paranoia. I guess you play the Exacalibur police here with correcting/educating others so I thank you for pointing out the proper term of my limbs failure. But, I ask that you please don't take my words out of context as I never stated my Mirco blew up in my 'other post,' I simply said my limb blew as the OP of the thread wasn't looking for detailed information.

I'm new to the xbow world and I appreciate the knowledge found here, especially those that have been using the Excalibur products. I purchased my Micro after reading through these forums this past winter as I read nothing but great things and couldn't wait to get the new product. But if I may, I feel if someone has personal experience with a product they should feel comfortable posting their opinion or even express their paranoia if it's in good taste and not just to be an assclown. Sure perhaps the worry is irrational but as a community we should invite the discussions and look to help through feedback, not just get up in arms and scream for a lynching.

I'm a hard working family man that thrives on a favorite family tradition that both keeps me halfway sane and provides my family food, which is that of archery hunting. I've converted to the xbow since my eyesight is bad(blind in one eye and the other is slowly failing) and I've passed up on too many shooters with my compound, so a scope will help me greatly. I've sunk every penny I could muster on my Micro and I don't have a backup so you better believe that I have some concern for the coming season and future after having a failure with just a few shots, especially after hearing several other similar failures. But, I'm not making posts complaining and have only provided my experience and appreciation to the manufactures resolution through warranty coverage which I feel is justified.

It's good to hear the failures are few and within manufacture range for this model but some other's have brought a few logical concerns to the table. I'm thankful for the gained knowledge and attention to this model, it sure is great to hear the positive reviews as it brings confidence. I always find it more insightful to hear from the end users then that of a manufacture/marketing rep.
Well anyways I look forward to hearing more feedback from others, be it positive or negative, and hopefully the Micro paranoia will be dispelled once and for all.

Just my $.02, thanks for reading this looong post and allowing me to vent :)

.....shoot away gentlemen....that is really the only way, is it not?....keep us, who are less fortunate in that we must travel "over the river and through the woods" to get to a state range, abreast of the results of your shooting....

....I want to start hearing things like, "I got over 1000 shots in my 335 and the only thing I had to go is change the serving!"...

.....for tonight's special, we offer "micro paranoia".... a rare delicious flakey variety served over a bed of linguine topped off in marinara sauce and fresh basil... tonight is the last night for this special as this type of delicacy.... is only here for a short time....as it is known to be very smart and catches on very quickly and disappears....
