I prefer carrots, because I feel that it puts them at an advantage by increasing the quality of their vision.

A legume that I use a lot as a cover crop and nitrogen supply to the soil is the forage bean, haba forrajera we say it here, (Vicia faba), it withstands low temperatures very well, up to -10 celsius.
They work just as well in the cold as turnips and cabbages.
