Grizz, you discovered my weakness. I LOVE the old Ithaca 37's. I still think they're the ultimate upland pumpgun. Light to carry, handle great and they have one of the slickest operating actions ever made. My dear wife told me of one in 16ga. sitting in the used rack at a local shop. I don't even want to look at it for fear it might follow me home.My personal favorite is an Ithica 37 in 20 gauge ... was my grandpa's ... made in 1953.

Mine's got the old trigger on it that allows it to fire every time the slide is closed!
It's only shortcoming is that once in a blue moon, it will drop a live shell when the action is worked. I don't know why. I do know others that do the same thing occasionally.
Do you know why this happens?
