Ive been hunting and fishing for a long time Ive killed more animals than most people so lets not question real experience like I said shooting an animal out the window of a heated shooting house isnt hunting if you ask me or with bait out in front of you and then brag about the big buck you shot A monkey with a weeks training could do the same thing

There are folks on this forum that can't pull their compound or re-curve any more, that can't climb a tree with climber or ladder maybe because of age or medical reasons, either way in a heated blind hunting over bait MORE POWER TO THEM, their out doing what they love may not be the way they use to but their still going HUNTING :D Do you use a rv to bring all the game you take out or drag them? just curious

Please keep in mind that as long as your using a tool which is legal in your state/province/country and are abiding by the game laws then you are a lawful hunter. I perhaps might not like the idea of hunting cats with dogs or animals with spears, but if it is legal and you like it then all the power to you! As stated above if you have the license and are following the laws then you are hunting. Ethics cannot be legalized. Everyone has different ethics and many peoples ethics go out the window in a blink sometimes. Being a Canadian I know very well how not working together as hunters and sportsmen and women effects the group as a whole. Up here we have less hunters in Canada than the total number of hunters in Michigan! If we don't all work for the same goal as a team the antis pick us off one group at a time. If your one big group it"s harder.

So, why bother to bring your ethics dilemmas here. I'm also a big traditional bow hunter, I use my cross bow mainly for hunting hogs at night in Texas. My traditional friends in the USA are not so easy on crossbow hunters. Up here there is more cross bow shooters than any other form of archery, no one complains about cross bows. So lets all get along and who cares what your opinion on gun hunting or baiting or heated blinds. If it is legal and the laws are followed they are hunting remember that. If it's not your thing don't do it, but don't knock it either just because you have higher opinions.

As hunters, we need to stand together at all times, united we win, divided we lose.

Totally agree. I got fussed at for simply saying "I'm far more impressed with crossbow hunting." I never said they should outlaw guns in anyway (unless they take all guns and that includes police and military which they will never do). But a few gun owners went ballistic (pun intended) because I don't find gun hunting interesting. It's like how some people try to force their religion down your throat, there are some gun owners who try to force their gun ego down your throat. It's just weird. They even started googling me and posting my facebook photos and attacking my lifestyle for being a lesbian just because I have what they call an "anti" gun stance. And now that they realize how terrible they were for doing that, they stopped posting because I brought it up and they don't want to be re-associated with their own terrible bigotry that they've displayed in the past.

Ah well. Happy Hunting. :)

Ohhh You lucky buggers, I wish I was there. Take lots of pictures and stories please, keep me posted. Please. What do they taste like? Do they fly fast and can they run fast like a ruffed grouse? We have no hunting season until October, that sucks.
Thank you,
Raymond
