thanks Anthony,i read that review, that guy didnt know what he was getting to start with  ,it works like the crossbow scopes im use to so it will work good for me,plus im sure it has good glass, alot better than the ole' varizone im shooting now.the alumina scope covers would be great,i have a few sets of those on rifles, but they are pretty pricey (around 80 dollars),and by the time i get done scraping enough money to get the bow and scope, the butler creek will do good till i have the extra funds for them, ive got the butler creeks on my bow now and have had them for three years, they have held up pretty good, but when i got them i had Danny send them to me,he must have been out of the proper size cause he sent me a roll of some kind of thick red tape,i had to wrap it around the end of my scope, then put the caps on to make up for the size differance,it works great, you can make them really tight like this, and you cant see the tape with the covers on,but i was just curious if anyone knew the right size for the crossbones.the alumina flip up covers will be what i get in the end probably, but it will take awhile,is the crossbones scope threaded for them like the rifle scopes?anyway thanks for the replys, and have fun with that nightmare, all these great pics of them i had already seen, then anthony's,and now yours has defenatly made me want mine NOW!!,and im about positive that its gonna be a nightmare(there just wicked looking little outfits) :D tax time is just a month or so away and ill hopefully be one of the next ones with a purdy new bow to play with :D

I bought the Alumina caps for my Crossbones and have not regretted it at all. They are a tad expensive but are well worth the expense. I shopped around and got mine fairly cheap compared to the online store prices. EBay is my friend. :D

I got mine for a total of $83 shipped. Bought from two different sellers both buy it nows. I did some serious looking. (hint- look way down the pages using the numbers and Leupold scope covers, Leupold Alumina, etc to search)
You can get them for $50 each from several online sellers or could last time I looked.
