To whom it may concern: I went out today and tested this lash-up.
Works as exactly expected and nylon seems to be up top the task.
Is nylon quieter than metal, etc. would have been? Dunno... Not going to spend time fixin' something that apparently ain't broke
My MATRIX 355 is a great piece of machinery. My scope worked perfectly. And, when I don't 'screw' with the trigger of something, it is quite acceptable "AS-IS"
The dimensions of this bumper mounting are: [StringTamer bumper end] 1" long x .375 dia. [drum] .680 long x .70 dia. [riser socket stem] 1.10 long x .310 dia.

You are quite welcome.hankenhunter wrote:Great thread! I'm thinking of testing some h.d rubber cane grips to replace my bumpers. Thanks for the cool trip Tink.
Hank
Just be aware the ST's are a sorta 'gooshy' Sorbothane-type of material. Never have actually examined Excal's so I do not know what consistency they are. H/D Rubber may not be up to the task
Good Luck experimenting Hank Keep us informed...
